Job Opening: Textile Designer

Location: Kochi (Hybrid – Remote + On-Site)
Type: Full-Time | Paid | 6-Month Probation


Role Overview:

We’re seeking a creative, skilled, and passionate Textile Designer to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply inspired by India’s textile legacy and wants to explore sustainable and contemporary design directions through close collaboration with artisans.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Research and develop textile concepts inspired by culture, nature, or history
     
  • Create hand-drawn or digital sketches and swatches
     
  • Develop color stories, motifs, and layouts suitable for weaving or printing
     
  • Work closely with the weavers to translate designs onto handloom
     
  • Source eco-friendly materials, dyes, and techniques when needed
     
  • Document design process and maintain moodboards
     
  • Assist in exhibitions and showcase planning if required

 

What We’re Looking For:


  • Background in Textile Design or Fashion/Textile Technology
     
  • Strong understanding of woven fabric construction and design
     
  • Familiarity with natural dyes, traditional weaving techniques, or Indian crafts
     
  • Eye for detail, texture, and color harmonies
     
  • Willingness to engage with artisans in person
     
  • Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or CAD knowledge is a bonus but not mandatory
     
  • Self-driven, creative thinker with a heart for sustainability
